Lost Chihuahua
Monday morning on my way to work, I found this little dog darting around cars at a Vista, CA Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru. He was dangerously close to getting run over! I got him into my car, and took him to a local shelter in Oceanside. Turns out, the shelter wasn't open yet, so I found someone who agreed to foster care for him until we find his home. I posted him on Craigslist, North San Diego County, and on another website for lost and found dogs: FidoFinder.com. I've created posters to place near where I found him and at the shelter I went to on Monday. I checked in on this little guy today, and I learned he's doing fine in his foster home, playing with the other dog, and hanging out with the cats. We all hope he finds his home soon.
At Fido Finder, I learned that the Chihuahua is the 2nd most common dog to get lost. Also, this particular dog is not neutered, and that could have helped him stay closer to home. Of course, an ID tag on his harness would have had him home already. Look for more updates to this story later...
