My cousin just emailed me the great news about Herbie, the little dog who needed a home that I wrote about ten days ago. Here's what she had to say:
"I just gave Herbie a hug and kissed him goodbye.
He has gone to the most loving, forever home, any dog could ever wish for. I know he will be well loved and cared for by Jessie. He met Jessie and her daughter yesterday. I think it was love at first sight. Herbie of course sealed the deal with a doggie kiss. Jessie picked him up today after she took care of the adoption process at Carson Animal Shelter.
This is truly a tale with a happy ending for the once poor, neglected, flea ridden, little dog who was brought to the shelter to be euthanized.
He's got a whole new lease on life! May he live happily ever after."
