My Adopted Shelter Dogs

Well, it's time for me to introduce the two dogs I adopted last September from the Ramona Humane Society: "Odie" a 4 yr. old male beagle mix, and "Ginger" a 1 yr. old female shepherd mix. Odie's the gentle one, and Ginger is the crazy dog with a lot of energy. They were both surrendered to the shelter by different owners, and ended up as "cell mates." I was told they fight at feeding time, and they do still have their disagreements, but for the most part they are good pack members and play together in my big backyard every day, chasing each other and wrestling on the ground. The photo above was taken this morning during a quiet moment in the garden. During the day, Odie and Ginger sleep together on my sofa, listening to smooth jazz. What a life! These are very lucky dogs. I hope my story inspires you to help change a shelter dog's world.
